URA Master Plan and Transformations

The URA Master Plan for Toa Payoh can positively impact the quality of life for residents in terms of better connectivity to transportation networks, more recreational and community facilities as well as commercial opportunities.
There are four key developments that residents at The Orie Condo Residences can look forward to:

1. New and improved community facilities and amenities
New social and community facilities in the region includes nursing homes in Potong Pasir Ave 1 and at Venus Drive, a gymnasium for seniors at Bishan Community Club as well as a new NKF dialysis centre at Toa Payoh West Community Club. New upgrades at Community Clubs in Toa Payoh, Thomson and Bishan North Community Club will also offer more community services and recreational activities.
2. More job opportunities nearer to home
More employment opportunities at the Bishan Sub-Regional Centre. The Centre will be transformed into an employment node that is integrated with community facilities to serve both residents and workers in the vicinity. More jobs in the area also increase rental potential for nearby residential properties.
3. Enhanced connectivity with new MRT stations
The completion of Thomson-East Coast (TEL) and Cross Island Phase 1 (CRL1) MRT Lines by 2029 promise shorter travel time to anywhere in Singapore.
4. Upgraded inter and intra town connectivity
A seamless walking and cycling route will enhance connectivity from Bishan, Toa Payoh and other towns along the Kallang River to the city centre. There will also be new park connectors, an upgraded underpass below CTE and a new cycling bridge across Braddell Road and PIE.
